12/18/2022 0 Comments Randal satan natas difference![]() ![]() With the girth and grind knob you can get a variety of tones (not that I need all of them) from boomy recto tone, cutting edge marshall sound to Satan's signature evil grind. I usually almost zero out treble (9 ocklock) with presence zero-ed out and the amp has enough aggression. Some might find the sound quite bright/harsh if they dial this amp as if you are playing a normal amp. I own a Mesa Roadster, Marshall JVM 210, Orange TV50 and Axefx II and I must say Satan is definitely my favourite amp to plug and play. Also the fact that the amp is designed by Mr. Kijiji'ed it from Quebec based on my intuition and the fact that I respect Ola quite a bit. I've got an opportunity to upgrade for little money, debating if its worth it. I currently own a Randall V2 + aHeritage Colonial 2x12 Cab (Modded with Eminence Swamp Thang + Texas Heat), with a Pigtronix Rock Philosopher Compressor in front, this amp sounds amazing, ultra tight, abundant and controlled low end, fast attack however there's something missing in the mids / treble / presence area its hard to describe, somewhat shrill I guess? The amps sounds great by all means. ![]() ![]() Looking for some real world opinions about this amp.Is tight enough for fast staccato picking? Does it have that low end thump that hits in the chest when chugging? Is it articulate enough for complex chords? Does is it have nice mids (I like my mids, frowned face eq curve) that cut through a loud band setting? Is it reliable.any breakdown reports? I like Ola's tone and Feared in general but at the same time, I know Ola can produce the crap out of a Line 6 15w and make it sound decent. Well, this amp has been out for a few months already and I haven't found enough information on it to make me pull the trigger. ![]()
